Lester Beats Cancer and throws no-hitter!

Mark, just thinking of you watching Jon Lester pitch last night. Lester, who beat non-hodgkins lymphoma about a year and a half ago, sealed the the 2007 World Series for the Red Sox, and then last night throw a no-hitter!! How is that for some inspiration ...

If you didn't catch the game here is the a piece of the story from the Boston Globe this morning:

"Jon Lester is 24 years old. He's a cancer survivor. He's the winner of the clinching game of the 2007 World Series. Now he's the first Sox lefty to throw a no-hitter since Mel Parnell turned the trick against the Chicago White Sox in 1956. It was the first complete game of Lester's major league career."

If you go to www.boston.com you can read all about it if you have not already. I was fortunate enough to turn on the game in the 8th inning and watch the ending --- what luck!

Let's get this cancer thing behind you and move on to bigger and better things!!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as always.

I was watching the Cubs game when they cut away to the 9th at Fenway. Andy and I got to see it live. Yep- inspiring and very exciting.

I don't care if you're a baseball fan or not, watch the 1st two minutes of the attached video and tell me if you don't get goose bumps!

Truly a fantastic living experience right now with Lester. Also with my pseudo son Jared.....49 nodes and he's doing just fine. I spent time with him this weekend in Tucson. Keep on with your spirit and positive mindset here. This truly does beat all internal things for your own No Hitter Perfect Score here Mark.
